Benetria is an Alverno College alum with a BA in Community Leadership and Development and a MS in Community Psychology. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Training and also holds a license in Substance Abuse . She is the owner of Aspired Ink, a business that specializes in creating sustainable shirts and futures for youth and families by teaching emotional intelligence through the arts and entrepreneurship. Benetria is the founder of Gifted Youth Plaza, a nonprofit that helps youth discover their God given talents and abilities. Benetria is very committed to social justice work and dismantling the systemic structures of racism and oppression. Benetria uses both degrees to further quality research that removes the misconceptions of black and brown people in all aspects of mental health.
