The Lupus Support Group for Women of Color is a Nationwide team of women who support, honor, guide and thrive with one another in the midst of various stages and types of lupus. National experts, such as rheumatologists, dermatologists and lupus advocates join the monthly conversations to provide education and empowerment. This autoimmune disorder affects Black women and women of color at a higher rate than our peers. Therefore, the work of this support group also brings to light awareness and a voice to this misunderstood condition.
The Foundation for Black Women's Wellness is proud to be the fiscal sponsor and partner with the Lupus Support Group for Women of Color as they empower Black women in our community and beyond to thrive in their daily lives.
Meetings are held the third Monday of each month from 6:00 - 7:30pm CST
