I am one of the Health Equity Coordinators for Marshfield Clinic and Security Health Plan working to reduce the impact of racial health inequities on BIPOC communities in rural Wisconsin. Before accepting my position in 2023, I was simultaneously a nursing assistant for UnityPoint Meriter, a doula for Harambee Village, and acquiring my Bachelors of Science in Health Promotions and Health Equity at UW-Madison as a PEOPLE Scholar. I have a particular interest in Black maternal health disparities in Wisconsin as well as the effects of race-based stress on the Black woman’s body and aging.
